The Welfare Rights Centre is committed to providing opportunities for students and volunteers to develop practice skills and expand their knowledge into the specialist areas of law that we cover.
If you are interested in volunteering at the Welfare Rights Centre and you are available on Tuesday mornings or Thursday afternoons, please email your CV to the Coordinator on gailm@wrcqld.org.au
Welfare Rights Centre will always offer student placements to students that have a demonstrated interest in law and or systemic advocacy or research work. For further information contact the Coordinator on gailm@wrcqld.org.au.
This manual has been produced as background reading prior to volunteering at the Welfare Rights Centre Inc. It will also be a useful tool whilst participating in the induction process as well as being an ongoing resource whilst undertaking volunteer work or student placement.
If you ever have any queries about the issues or content of this manual feel free to ask questions of your supervisor, or talk to the Coordinator who is responsible for the overall development of the centre’s Volunteer Program.
